How Does the VigilBox App Work?

  • Where do I access the VigilBox App?
    • You can download the App from the Google Play Store.
  • Do I have to make an account on the VigilBox App?
    • You can log in using your Google credentials; a separate sign up is not needed.
  • How do I sync the VigilBox device on my vehicle with the App?
    • Swipe left to right on the App screen. Choose the “Enroll” option.
    • Once the page opens, enter the 15-digit unique Serial Number of your device, followed by the details of your vehicle.
    • In the same tab, you can also enter a nickname of your choice for the vehicle.
    • Once you’ve entered all the details, click on the “ENROLL” button at the bottom. Your enrollment is now complete.
  • In case of multiple vehicles, how do I use the “Fleet Management” option?
    • You will need to install VigilBox devices in each of your vehicles.
    • Enroll each of the vehicles and devices separately on the App, following the Enrolment procedure mentioned above.
    • Upon completing the enrollment of all your vehicles, swipe left to right on the App screen and choose the “Vehicles” option. You can see a list of all your enrolled vehicles, with their device Registration numbers and their nicknames.
    • You can now search for any of the vehicles on the “Map” to choose them for controlling/monitoring.
  • How do I lock my vehicle, and what is the indication that it’s locked?
    • Swipe left to right on the App screen and choose the “Map” option.
    • Search for your vehicle on the map using its Registration number or its nickname, and select it.
    • The map will now show the current location of your vehicle, which can be seen on the map in the form of a dot. The default colour of the dot is Green, meaning “Not Locked”.
    • Click on “Follow”.
    • Click on “Lock”. The toggle will shift and the colour of the dot will change to Orange. You will get an alert on the App, reading “Lock Request: Requested”. As soon as the vehicle is locked, the colour of the dot changes to Red and an alert reading “Lock Request: Done” is shown on the App.
  • What does the follow button do?
    • The checkbox when ticked, allows the user to monitor the currently selected vehicle. The selected vehicle is centred on the map, and real time location updates are provided to the user. This feature is useful for managing multiple vehicles simultaneously.
  • How long does it take to process my locking request?
    • If the vehicle is stationary, the lock request is processed and the vehicle is locked immediately.
    • If the vehicle is in motion, the lock request would be processed once the vehicle slows down below a pre-determined speed, to avoid accidents because of stopping at high speeds.
  • What is “GeoLock” and how does it work?
    • “GeoLock” means locking your vehicle along with its location.
    • You can define a safe perimeter around your vehicle. Once you’ve turned the “Geo-Lock” on, the vehicle stops upon breaching this safe perimeter as soon as the vehicle slows down below a pre-determined speed. The vehicle can be started again only by disengaging the Geolock from the VigilBox
  • How do I use the “GeoLock”?
    • Swipe left to right on the App screen and choose the “Map” option.
    • Search for your vehicle on the map using its Registration number or its nickname, and select it.
    • The map will now show the current location of your vehicle, which can be seen on the map in the form of a dot. The default colour of the dot is Green, meaning “Not Locked”.
    • Click on “Follow”.
    • The default radius for Geolock is set at 2000 metres. You can change it if you wish. Click on “Geolock”. An orange circle, signifying the safe perimeter around your vehicle, appears on the map.
    • If this safe perimeter is breached while Geolock is engaged, you will get a notification on your phone, and your vehicle will stop as soon as reaches a safe speed.
  • How do I use the “Support” option?
    • Swipe left to right on the App screen and choose the “Support” option.
    • You can call on the number given on the screen to speak to our Customer Services Executive.
    • In case you wish to raise a written complaint, click the “Go” button.
    • Enter your email address, write a subject for your request and mention your query in the designated boxes. Click the “Create Ticket” button.
    • Our service team will get in touch with you to resolve your query at the earliest.
  • What does the “Reports” option do?
    • You can raise a request for accessing your location and route history in this tab. The relevant reports will be emailed to you on your email registered with us.

How Does VigilBox Work?

  • VigilBox is a GPS based location tracker and immobiliser, that will be fitted in your car at a suitable place. It will display the location of your vehicle on the VigilBox mobile app, as well as enable you to stop your moving vehicle if need be.
  • At the time of installation, you need to purchase the VigilBox device as well as a subscription to the service.
    • There are multiple subscription plans viz. 1 year, 3 years and 5 years, at the end of which you need to renew your subscription.
  • For Fleet Management, you need to purchase a VigilBox device with valid subscription for each vehicle, however you can manage your entire fleet in one place with the VigilBox mobile app.
